🐒 Audi Q5 2.0 Tdi Cambelt Change Interval
When I had my 2012 TDI, my go to shop's recommended interval was 200,000km for the timing belt and water pump and DSG service every 120k km but it might be different for the European models. Thanks! Seems to line-up with what I'm reading/hearing. Originally Posted by darthVWader.

'Recommended' belt change is every 4 years - but the cambelt scenario will open up a can of worms as to when to have it done, but it is each to their own. Hope that helps.

Re: 1.6 TDI Cambelt Intervals. by ICE King » Wed Jun 05, 2019 10:05 am. At the time of the car being Manufactured they set the cambelt service interval , in the case of the 9n3 Tdi was set to 180k km's , In reality they started breaking way before so as a precaution the manufacturer moved the interval to 120k km , obviously the original books
It is important that you change the timing belt (also called a cambelt) in time on your Volkswagen Tiguan. On this page you will find more information about the timing belt replacement intervals on a Volkswagen Tiguan. I have collected information about various popular diesel engines and petrol engines from the year 2008 until today.
It is important that you always change your cambelt at the recommended interval. Cambelts for most vehicles need to be changed at 90 000 km. For some vehicles this can vary from every 60 000 km to every 180 000 km. Autoworks recommend changing your cambelt at the manufacturer’s recommended guidelines on mileage and age.
cambelt change at 26,000 miles!!!!! Just recently taken my Eos in for its 4 year service, did not worry about cambelt change as service book did not mention Cr tdi engines are time dependant but mileage dependant 180,000kms/120,000miles yippee i thought. Was soooooooooooooo shocked when i booked it in and the service dept said "needs a cambelt
Your local Audi dealer is giving you good advice. The service schedule may claim 220,000k but the cam belt, tensioner, pulley and water pump are not guaranteed to last that distance. This means you will be responsible for the costs of a replacement engine, should the belt fail. Most cam belt failures we hear about occur after five years and/or
It is always recommended to replace the water pump at the same time as there is no more labour, simply the cost of the pump. Water pumps do wear and they start to leak you'll need to remove the cambelt to get to it. Cambelts shouldn't be refitted. £385 for just the cambelt, £485 with the water pump
Expert answer. For the first-generation Audi Q3 (pre- and post-2015 facelift), regardless of whether you have one of the 1.4-litre TFSI petrol engines or any of the 2.0-litre TDI diesels, the recommended maximum interval (regardless of time) is 210,000 kilometres. The 2.0-litre TFSI petrol model uses a timing chain, not a belt.
