🫏 Beyerdynamic Dt 990 Pro Review
The Beyerdynamic DT 990 PRO and the Beyerdynamic DT 880 PRO are both very good headphones for critical listening, but they have different sound profiles. Both headphones have a bright and clear treble. However, the DT 880 lack bass compared to the DT 990 PRO, which pack a stronger punch. This makes the DT 880 sound brighter compared to the DT
The quantity of bass is higher on the 990, but it can sound bloated, which isn't the case with the 660S, which has better detail in the low end. This shouldn't be a surprise, but the mids are better on the 660S. They're more detailed and you get that amazing vocal isolation, which is so typical of the 600-line.
beyerdynamic DT 900 PRO X Review. "The DT 900 Pro X definitely bares many similarities sonically to the DT 990 Pro, especially in its highs and lows. However, the Pro X seems to have a more successful soundstage than past models from Beyerdynamic, along with overall tighter handling and more cleanliness. For $299, this feels like a fairly

These are arguably the most open feeling Beyers I’ve used. DT 1990 Pro. This is the T1 Gen 3, see it's more like the DT 990 Pro/Premium in it's opening. The main difference between the Pro and the Premium is the housing shape/size, some damping differences, and the pro has a stronger clamp out of the box.

The DT 770 Pro also have a decent soundstage for closed headphones, but their open-back counterpart is simply much better on that front. As with the different DT 770 Pro models, there is not much difference between the 80-ohm and 250-ohm models of the DT 990 Pro in terms of overall sound quality. The DT 990 Edition has been an integral part of beyerdynamic's portfolio for more than 20 years – not that this has detracted at all from its popularity: music lovers galore continue to value the stereo headphones as a reliable companion.
TB Isone Here's frequency response between DT-770, DT-880, DT-990 and AH-D2000. DT-880 and AH-D2000 take the cake. Here's frequency response comparison between DT-880 (my fav), K240 and ATH-M50. Again DT-880 win this case, K240s have slightly weaker treble range, and M50s have this weird notch in the bass and worse treble response than DT-880.
The difference with these excellent DT990 headphones between the FiiO X5 and the Benchmark DAC2 is enormous. You can hear the music with either portable player but with the DAC2 you can hear the performance. It is the difference between, "that's nice" and "WOW!" Back to the DT990s - the comfort is pretty good.
I own the Sennheiser HD560s, HD58x, Beyerdynamic DT 770 and DT 990 pro's, the Phillips Fidelio x2 HR's and now the DT 900 pro x. I have about 20 hours of listening experience so far on the DT 900 pro x and would like to leave my feedback because so far the reviews of these on Amazon have been mostly negative.
